Access Points– Whether you’re using it for personal or business purposes, you’ll probably want to put your storage container as close to your building as possible. Staci can help you decide what size container(s) will fit in the area you’re considering them for placement. Sierra Mobile Storage’s delivery system is so nimble that containers can often be placed in area about the size of a normal automobile parking space, as long as it’s fairly level and there’s clear path to it. You should look for sizes that will fit in your driveway or comfortable pass through any access point on the way to the placement area.
Designated Areas– Besides the access point, you will generally want your portable storage container close to where you’ll be loading it from. If it’s too big, you could end up blocking other parts of your home or workplace that you may want access to. Measure the storage area ahead of time and find a container that will fit with room to spare. The better you can gauge

Labeled 16-foot containers because they are 16 feet in length, these containers are also approximately 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall. This provides roughly 1,024 cubic feet of space, which is typically enough space to hold 3-4 rooms of furniture from a typical 2 bedroom house or office. It is also comparable to the amount of storage space in a 20 ft. box truck. Sierra Mobile Storage offers these storage containers for families with small to medium size homes, as well as for businesses that need to store or transport average amounts of equipment, furniture or inventory.
A 20-foot Container
Also approximately 8 feet in width and 8 feet tall, this type of portable storage container is 20 feet long. It has roughly 1,280 cubic feet of space inside and can hold 4-5 rooms or furniture (3 bedroom house). This makes it suitable for families moving to large homes and businesses with larger equipment or inventory needs. With one of these containers from Sierra Mobile Storage, you can store as much as you’d put in a 24-foot box truck.

Co-owner, Staci, will be happy to visit with you to help you make the best decisions about what size container you will want and where it’s best for you to have it placed. Remember, you have the option to store your belongings on our lot if you want for an additional charge.*
*Storage on our lot is $30 per month in addition to the rental of the container.
*Delivery fees start at $85. And Re-spot fees start at $110. Pick up fees start at $85.
*Mileage charge for deliveries, pickups and re-spots is $3.00 per mile.
*Insurance is $15 per month.

*Mileage charges apply for areas outside of our normal service area. (15 miles from the intersection of Green Acres Dr. and HWY 580, Reno, NV).
*Transporting a container weighing more than 10,000 lbs. can be dangerous, causes excessive wear and tear on delivery equipment and violates NDOT law. Each packed container will be weighed prior to transport. If it exceeds 10,000 lbs., customers may choose to immediately remove enough contents to comply, or they may pay an overweight fee of $10 for every 100 lbs. over the legal limit.
*Customers are required to sweep out containers after they’ve been emptied to avoid a $35 cleaning fee.
*Staff is scheduled and arranged each day to most efficiently handle our client’s desired delivery times and dates. Changes to scheduled container pick up, delivery or relocation must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $50 rescheduling fee.
