Access Points

Whether you’re using it for personal or business purposes, you’ll probably want to put your storage container as close to your building as possible. We can help you decide what size container(s) will fit in the area you’re considering for placement. Sierra Mobile Storage’s delivery system is so nimble that containers can often be placed in an area about the size of a normal automobile parking space, as long as it’s fairly level and there’s a clear path to it.

A 16-Foot Container

Labeled 16-foot containers because they are 16 feet in length, these containers are also approximately 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall. This provides roughly 1,024 cubic feet of space, which is typically enough space to hold 3-4 rooms of furniture from a typical 2-bedroom house or office. It is also comparable to the amount of storage space in a 20 ft. box truck. Sierra Mobile Storage offers these storage containers for families with small to medium-sized homes, as well as for businesses that need to store or transport average amounts of equipment, furniture or inventory.

A 20-foot Container

Also approximately 8 feet in width and 8 feet tall, this type of portable storage container is 20 feet long. It has roughly 1,280 cubic feet of space inside and can hold 4-5 rooms or furniture (3-bedroom house). This makes it suitable for families moving to large homes and businesses with larger equipment or inventory needs. With one of these containers from Sierra Mobile Storage, you can store as much as you’d put in a 24-foot box truck.

We are happy to walk you through it to help you make the best decisions about what size container you will need and where it’s best for you to have it placed. Remember, you have the option to store your full container at our facility for an additional charge.*

Storage Fees

On-site at your location = $15 per 28-days damage waiver 
Store at our facility = $35 per 28-days  

Transportation Fees 

Delivery Fee –  standard fee starting at $85 within a 15-mile radius of Neil Rd and 580. 

Respot Fee – moving the full container from one location to another. Fees start at $110.

Extra mileage charges apply for areas outside of a 15-mile radius from the intersection of 580 and Neil Rd.

Pick Up Fees – standard fee starting at $85 within a 15-mile radius of Neil Rd and 580. 

Ancillary Charges

Insurance Damage Waiver (protects the container should it be damaged while in your possession. $15 per 28 days. Locks are available to purchase for $17, or you can provide your own. 

Weight Limits 

The contents’ weight limit is 7,000 lbs. Due to NDOT/CALTRANS laws, each full container will be weighed before transport. Should the container weigh more than 7,000 lbs customer is subject to overweight fees. 
Transporting a container weighing more than 10,000 lbs. can be dangerous, it can cause excessive wear and tear on delivery equipment, and it violates NDOT law. Each packed container will be weighed before transport. If it exceeds 10,000 lbs., customers may choose to immediately remove enough contents to comply, or they may pay an overweight fee of $10 for every 100 lbs. over the legal limit.

Payment 

We accept the following credit cards, for which we charge a 2.5% credit card processing fee. However, if you pay via debit card, there is no processing fee.
